Operational and Assessable Objectives:

Facilitate and enable end-to-end value delivery through Agile Release Trains (ARTs)—and learn how to build a high-performing ART by becoming a servant leader and coach—when you become a SAFe® 5 Release Train Engineer (RTE).
During this three-day remote-enabled course, purpose-built for SAFe Virtual Classroom, gain an in-depth understanding of the role and responsibilities of an RTE in the SAFe enterprise. Through experiential learning, examine the RTE role in a Lean- Agile transformation. Learn how to facilitate ART processes and execution, coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in new processes and mindsets. Explore how to prepare, plan, and execute a Program Increment (PI) planning event, the primary enabler of alignment throughout all levels of a SAFe organization.

Prerequisite

The following prerequisites are highly recommended:

  • Hold at least one current SAFe certification
  • Have launched or participated in at least one ART and one PI

What the training includes:

  • Attendee workbook
  • Preparation and eligibility to take the SAFe® 5 Release Train Engineer exam
  • One-year membership to the SAFe Community Platform
  • Course certificate of completion upon request

Attendees must attend all of the course in order to qualify for the exam.

How and when to access:

For public trainings, registrations are done through Eventbrite, by following the links on this page or on social networks. We offer 2 public trainings of each type per year (about 6 months delay). For private trainings, you can contact us at [email protected] to get a quote. We can then proceed with the planning of your training and the registration of your employees (about 1 month delay).

  • Evaluation of the training via interactive questionnaires during the training to verify the acquisition of knowledge

Passing the Certification :

At the end of the training, the candidates will receive a link to the SAFe Community platform and will be able to take the exam. The first test is included in the training within 30 days. Each new test will cost $50, payable directly on the SAFe Community platform.

  • Format of the exam: Multiple choice questions (MCQ)
  • Method: Web-based, closed book, no outside assistance, timed
  • Duration: 2 hours (120minutes)
  • Number of questions: 60
  • Passing score: 45/60 (75%)
  • Language: Exam in English

At the end of the exam, you receive your results immediately.
After passing the exam, the candidate receives their certification which is valid for 1 year. This must be renewed annually and costs $295/year.
